bad crc

this one is a new one on me, i am trying to change ird and boxkey numbers on a 301.13 to use for this romcode and after reading and going to flasheditor with the read from the 301.13 single tsop , after changing the ird and boxkeys i had to check the fix CRC and it went to green , saved and rewrote the changed tsop, it didnt work .. everything is right for the boxkeys and ird number but i went back to flashedit and brought up the modded tsop and the crc is back red at 0003, i rechecked the fix crc and resaved but on reopening it goes back to this red 0003... is there something that i can do to keep that CRC green?

When entering your IRD # enter the number as a hexadecimal where it says IRD#(hex). For example, if your ird # R0023736224 go to windows calculator and click on scientific view, enter the number 23736224 then click on the hex button, it will change your number to a hex, 16A2FA0 now take that number and enter it inot the IRD#(hex) on flash edit, since the number is not long enough to fill the whole box, pad it with a zero at the front so it would be 016A2FA0. Now click crc save and write, see if it works

thanks for the reply, the way you are saying to use hex as the ird is the way i am doing this in the advanced area of flasheditor . with CRC fix in the green it just will not stay green after saving. i am using the updated flasheditor 2.1 (at work) and under the drop down it is ecm fix and cant go blank to nothing in the dropdown box like the one at the house... but the one here at the house that i normally use the ver.2.0a1 you can leave the ecm unchecked just change the ird and boxkeys, could that be the problem?

Not sure if that would affect it, it will only ECM fix if you click the "apply script" button. Give it a try and if it don't work, let me know and maybe you can email it to me and I'll take a crack at it.

are you using the new flashedit 2(1) beta 4 bin that happned to so use old flashedit 2.0a 1 that worked fof me

yes i went back to the 2.0a.1 and go it to stay green but now its 005 nag, im going to try the the skinerd way http://dssftp.com/forum/showthread.php?t=62812 to see it i can get rid of that nag. thanks for the help
