Dish 301.13 wont take update

hello have a 301.013 receiver and it doesn't want to take update its stuck at P209 what can I do?

Is it set to auto update? The reciever needs to be in turned off for the update. You can erase SA49 and it will force an update

thanks for your answer I guess I got to force the update if I want to erase SA49 i need a jtag cable correct?

You will need to do a Vidmod to the reciever if it is a single tsop model. And yes you will need a Jtag to erase sa49

From what I have read you only need to do a Vid Mod if you are changing the Box Keys or Receiver ID because this information is stored in the protected sector of the Tsop. To force the software update all you have to do is erase sector SA-49 as previously stated, this will corrupt the Tsop and force the update. Remember when dish updates your receiver they don't use a Vid-Mod!
