I have a dish 500 with 2 legacy lnbs for 119 and 110 and i got a DTV dish to pick up 61.5. this setup worked for FTA but now im switching to plastic, so i need a switch to connect all those dishes to my 301.013. I recently bought a dp34 which i realized only works for dish pro lnb's so im going to get rid of it, what switch do i need? please let me know thanks.

EDIT: i just read a post where someone said dp34 will work with legacy LNBs if you have a Dish pro receiver... is this true? thanks

SW 34

No it wont work easliy, either get a SW or switch LNB's to DP

you can use 2 switches, you will use sw21x to tie the 110 and 119 together then use sw21 to tie 61.5 to the sw21x.

that will work, it has to have power so it will need to be out of the weather. That means running all three cables to the SW64. lots of room for more IRDs.

All your lnb's need to be dual outputs for sw64 but it will work six wires to sw64 then up to 4 ird's from it.
Make sure you get the power adapter with the sw64 they need alot of power more than most ird's can provide, #01's can run them but the high current draw shortens the 301's life considerably.

yea i spent a couple hours reading up on google and stuff about the different switches. i hope i got it right this time. all my LNBs have 2 out puts, the sw64 comes with the power inserter and the plug. so i think i should be ok.

thanks guys.

I personally use an SW31 (SL-SW21-3). It works great, its made by SpaceLabs and its exactly what you are looking for you. You can also just use two SW21's.

you could also switch the 500 over to a twin (not sure if a quad will work) and then use an sw-21 to connect the 2 dishes...those 64's cost some $$$ and I've heard they aren't that reliable

What you need is

119=110= sw21X

then out put to sw21 ( one side and the other sid comes from 61.5 )

then out put sw21 to rec that will gives you sw21 3 sat after check switch

I use a legacy twin lnb and two sw-21's for my three sat hookup.
I'm running two receivers on a three sat 119-110-61.5 setup.

Cheaper then a sw64 and a lot less wire. Course this only
allows for two receiver hookups instead of 4 with the sw64.
