311 System Lock

Hi All,
I just got my 311 up and running. But however the System is LOCK. is there a way to unlock the system??? I bought it from Fleabay and I guess the previous owner lock the system up.

Find the eeprom and short pins 3 and 6, then power up and turn on for 15 seconds, turn off unplug and unjump 3 and 6.

I personally have done it, and it worked, don't forget to do a switch test when done cause it will erase your settings.
