is this viewing from the top or bottom?

yes but in all the pictures ive seen they do not say if viewing from bottum or top view

I have that pictuer but is that looking from top of reciever or from the bottum of the reciever?

Look at post 5. It says which side is what. Thats about the best you are going to get for pictures. So look closly the picture is post 5. It says which end is what.

The jtag is on the bottom of the receiver. Meaning flip the board over and you will see it.

unless im thinking wrong front and back are diffrent from top and bottom top view 1 will be on one side and on the bottum it will be opisit

The diagram Dog Breath posted is the bottom view of the the JTag pads on the receivers listed.
