322 help

Hi all,
I was looking at the 322 how to guide from the author but still alittle bit confuse.
When the author mention in the first picture of wiring the V+ connection.
Do you scrape of the trace and solder after the trace cut?
Also after success of glitching the 322. Do you repair the two cut trace?
Just have a few question be4 starting to cut those traces.
