Question About 301.010

will a dish 500 and two dual lnb's and sw21

screen just says Aquring satellite signal
and rotating through the 121 119 110
progress: 0 of 5
been like for 30 mintutes is this normal
for a 301.010

Are the LNBs lagacy or DP? Did you do a switch check?? Menu 6-1-1??

Also, the 301-010 has a history of chip failure in the sat input circuit.

did switch check tried sw21 with two dish dual lnb's also tryied
sw34 with 2 dish dual lnb's also
sw34 with dish pro lnb twin
sw21 with dish pro lnb twin
all on a dish 500

anything with 2 dish dual lnb's did not show in device or anything
the dish pro twin shows with dp34 and under device shows twin and switch says dp34-500

under details says no signal
but if i hook up coolsat or my 3700 signal is fine

I don't know what to try have also hooked up straight to reciever with 119 still no signal.

Is the receivers firmware way outdated?
If you have a voltmeter check the sat connector voltage coming out of the ird for lnd power it should be bouncing between 13-18 volts dc when it is trying to aqquire signal. If this voltage is good them the eeprom may be corrupt reload that if still nothing there is more to try but it could be possible the tuner chip itself went bad it does happen.

Get your dish switch put back to how the 3700 works your 301 will work with the same switch lnb combination just fine. Hook up the 301 and on the remote hit menu 6 1 1 highlight and run the checkswitch test see if it properly detects the switch and 110-119 sats should show odd/even for both if you use a sw21 if this doesn't pass I'd jtag it and redo the eeprom image then try again.

You don't have a fta switch in the line I assume that won't pass the signal and work on dishnet receivers.

now it detected the sw34 or dp34 whitch ever it is but it doesn't detect sw21

P248 I beleive so thats a few back yet but should be able to update

You don't have both switched inline do you. DP34 and sw 21 are not compatible together. DP34 needs dishpro lnbs sw 21 needs regular legecy lnbs

no there not both hooked up only sw21 right now just downloaded a mod tsop with eeprom reading up on what i have to do haven't messed with the eeprom yet.

OK NOW RECIEVER SAYS INVALID CARD

changed the tsop ird# and boxkeys to what my card has then tsop and eeprom upgrade and it says invaild card

updated tsop and eeprom got card back and now reciever reboots everytime while doing a switch check is this reciever bad or firmware corrupt?

it may be updating the 301.10 are at 248 and the sw21 and 2 seperate lnbs should work fine.
if your build is EAEA or EAED i have a updated tsop just edit write the 2 tsopsand the virgin image you will creat after you edit your tsops and you ashould be sgood to go.

Well I have tried everything I know. So this receiver must be messed up tried p248 tsop and the tsop witch came with it p246 and I can not get it to find the sw21 switch not sure what the p246 or p248 has to do with the reciever check switching for sw21 but I think I bought a bad reciever.
