ok ive got a 301.013 that my brother-in-law brought over to me. only thing is it has a sw-02 card in it. i have a rom102 that i can put in it so my question is this:
will i have to do a vid-mod on this one?
the other 4 recievers ive done were all ex-subbed with married cards.
so this is going to be new.

yes needs mod then you will need a bin for 301-13 change keys and ird

do the vid if its a single tsop. dual don't need it/
also, y bother breaking up the set? leave the 013(if single) alone with the sw02, in case there is a hack for the sw02, u will have a cam married to ird, avoiding the mod. the 102 cam is what is pricey. for the cost of an ird these days, go get one that doesn't need a mod, and do that. thats just what i would do.

ive got an old model 1000 ird, but i guess it wouldnt work huh? ive got the box keys to it but it would have to be j-tagged and you cant do that model can you?

no, a 100 can't be jtagged. needs a special unit, not sure what it is called. but if features don't matter, then get a 3700/3700/3900 with no remote or card for like $10-$20. easiest unit to do. i mean, its your unit. don't let me stop u. thats just what i would do. 013's are the biggest pain in the ass. (not the doubles).
if u decide to do it, and u run ito issues, just ask, i'll give u hand.

What if the 301.013 is an ex-sub with a married 102 in it, will it still need to be vid-modded?

glitch open the card, redo tiers, apply blocker, watch tv/

thanx hillbilly, ill look around and see what other kind of ird i can find. any idea where id find just a reciever like that? ill give ya a shout if i decide to do the 013 and it turns out to be a single.
