Milli's ISO Programmer issues...

EDIT: New cable form ratshack fixed it. Straight thru DB9 male to female. MILLI IS AWESOME BUY HIS SHIT

Just got all my stuff i tried to get the Card's read through the ISO programmer i bought from Milli, the one with no case, and it is a NO GO. I have it powered by a 9v 500ma adaptor i got from one of my cordless phones, and i hooked it up to my PC with what i think is a db9 cable but i dont know how to make sure it is. Its the same cable i used for Pansat 2500 programming, has a male end and a female end. How do i tell if its a db9 or null? So i insert the card, the ISO progger lights up red while sliding it in, then once i put it all the way in the LED turns off... is this normal? I am inserting the card with the golden chip facing down. N2Edit gives me NO ATR! ROMCODE gives me Communications Error, No Card Detected. I got the correct COM1 port i made sure i have .NET 1.1... please help me out. I have 2 rom102 cards which came with Milli's receivers and are supposed to be unlocked and married, both of them give me the same problems.

I don't have a pansat but both coolsat 4000 pro and 5000 the 4000 is a regular db9 the 5000 uses a null .. ask people in the pansat forum or check the websites that sell pansat and the usauly tell what type of cable it is. also I programed my first rom 102 for my coolsat and for some reason nagaedit was giving me bad or no atr info..but then used nagramaster and it was good to go. read it with no problems and auxed the card fine

I used a 9v 450 ma power adaptor and that worked for me so I would say your power is good.

Try it with the "golden chip" facing up. That's the way my iso programmer works.

Most of those FTA cables are nulmodem cables not serial. Rat shack

i went to ratshack to get a real DB9 straight thru so i can eliminate that and guess what.. it works.
