Can someone help me please?

I've got a 301.013. I can't tell if I've got the Single or the Dual TSOP.

Can someone help out? pic. included (http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-7/1199806/301.013_Picture_VictorHK.jpg). Do I have to perform a Vid Mod?

ALSO.... I messed around in JKeys and now I've got this error.

"Error reading from IRD (DCU Peek)."

anybody know how to fix this?

gotta do vid mod if you want to edit the flash of ANY -013.....

grounding R79 should help.....

The pic shows 1 tsop so I guess it would be a single tsop????

skinerd,

I am in the middle of doing the Vid Mod on a 301.013 dual tsop per the instructions here and everything looks good except that i am getting 17.3 volts when i measure between my grounded zener diode (12v recommended in Vid Mod instructions) and the 220 ohm resistor that comes from c44. When i measure c44 to ground, i am at 29 volts. I even tried using the second zener diode from the package and got the same. Have you seen this before? Is it ok, or will i toast the ird if i vid mod with 17.3 volts? Thanks.

somewhere i say where you can use a 12V regulator in place of zener. if you can read and understand ratshak package of regulator you could probably do it with out specific instructions

IF you are following the above link instructions.

There is an alternate spot for that tiny spot next to SB5.. that is a pain in the ass to do. If you search the forum you'll find it easily..

Don't do that DCU Peak errors instruction where you ground the pad 1 of the JTAG - even skinnerd warned of this one at some point.

EDIT:
HERE IS MY POST ABOUT VID MOD AND THE ALTERNATE SPOT: http://www.dssftp.com/forum/showthread.php?t=52921

I found gunther's guide and used the 7812 regulator. Worked perfectly. They should update the Vid Mod how-to here to use the 7812 instead of the zener diode. It is obviously much more reliable.

Hi, I'm using the 12v regulator. I keep getting DCU peek error.

Should I solder a jump between jtag and ground pad per Mili's instructions?
