Firmware upgrade

Hi!...im using one of the public rom 102 fixes...my software on my IRD is at p229...I wanna update it...but, I am wondering will I get a black screen if I do?

My firmware is at P248 I beleive, and using a public rom 102 fix, no probs so far.

I updated the firmware...went to P248 now...working ok for now

iam using the same software it all works well . i will never complain as all of this is free software if we didnt have these ppl we would be screwed , so thanks to all with no complaints keep up all the good work and screw the pp; that complain ,unless u can do better !!!!!!!!!
