helpless, this is a kind of comment (?) that doesn't help at all. If someone ask for help in this subject, that means someone else dummy as me , might need the same answer that horvik is looking for. That means I am reading, if this is what you want us to do. I am completely lost. I got my first rom 102 and I don't how to, if I have to, change the keys. If someone out there has a different "help" than that, will be very appreciated.

Click on the yellow card at the top of the screen. That's the rom 102 programming guide. After following the guide, if you have further questions, ask away.

I could step you through programming a card, but I would be duplicating the guide that's already there. Plus the guide has screen shots.

well sorry, some people would rather not read and just ask the same things over and over. I'm far from an expert but the howto's were written by people who are far smarter. if you have read then I assumed you would have been more specific in your questions.

Thanks Titus99, I've been there but I'm afraid that's not what I'm looking for. I'm following that, step by step, but I'm gonna need to change the keys and I don't know to do it.
And one more thing, when I'm applying penga's patch, should I put my ird# and my box keys or just keep the way it is ?

sorry but this has been explained in far better detail in other threads but here is how i've done it
if it is exsub you need to ";" out (line for your cam id) a line in FIRST part of patch
make tiers patch with DTtierworks and apply
you can also set new keys here

if not exsub you have to get into receiver TSOP to do mod or get info for blocker. that is much more complicated and explained by better people elsewhere

Step 2.......is it modded .....?
Step 3.......public or personal.....?
step 4.......use progie utility
ste5 5.......if cam is open clean image
step 6.......adjust a 3m with your local's/blackout string
step 7......Unlock cam .
step 8......open adjusted image with n2edit
step 9......open patch window
step 10.....apply patch...(Blocker).
step 11.....write to cam
step 12...watch tv
step 13 ...start with step (one) if it does not work
step 14...now start asking question's......hehehe.....

When you get to" Applying Tiers and a Blocker" section of the DT08 Based Rom 102 Programming, Do you still use the same Blocker thats in the How to guide? also do you still use the same tierwork20.0? Because i know there is new files ,but are these in the How to guide still working?? I know the Keys have changed and there should be a place in the program to enter the new ones. If anyone has answers to above ??? I would appreciate it. I really don't want to mess up my card.... thanks. Oh , if I can use this section the way it is, by just changing the keys , that would be great...let me know

always try to use newest version of software ank blocker (unless someone finds them bad) I think 2.6 is newest DTtierworks (may be a newer) the 102-V28G blocker is working. Yes DT has a "get keys" button

the 102-V28G blocker it's the one I'm trying to use. I'm also using DTierworks 2.7 and looks fine. One question : You said that I need to ";" (line for my cam id) and date time (date of today), is that right ? what about this ?
; Firmware Requirement TO JTAG TO IRD:
; Boxkey - 8C A6 A8 8C FD E2 E2 63 ( use my own box keys ? )
; IRD - 01 1C 74 6C ( my ird # ?)
; CAM ID - 03 9A 31 74 ( my cam id ? )
; OR DO YOUR OWN BY CHANGING INFO IN
; DATA AREA $A700-$BFFF AND $30D8 CAMID

it's easy when you know it. For me, as a dumb, you have to take it easy. I'm gonna get there, sooner or later. thanks for your help, man.
