Whats happening to my dish 500 lnb ?

Hey ppl I wonder whats going on with my dish 500 lnb ? I did a check switch and appeard "sawj" messege then I did the check switch again and "sw44" and weird stuff appear like picking up sat 129 then "sw21-3" sat could the lnb damage from itself is there a fix for this kind ??? anybody had this trouble before ? thanks for all the replys .....I'm using this lnb on a 301.13 & a 3900 ird's

if it is not aimed right it will pick up 129 on some transponders. try to tune it in a little.
probably to the left and lower the elevation a bit

I am also having wierd things happening , like no signal at all coming in , using 301-10 ird with the all america pack sub with mili, can someone please help
you have had or are having the same no signal issues.
Ilive in Montreal and have the New York locals, so is it a ird or spotbeam
problem?

I am not sure if my problem is related or not but I can not get any signal. I just bought a 301 receiver with a Dish 500 from mili. I have never pointed a dish before (always had Dave do it). I do have my Dave dish hooked up fine so it is not a line of sight issue. I have not had anyone around to help me tune the dish, but I really thought that my initial setup would at least be close and I would get some signal.

I will find out more tomorrow when I have someone who can help me, but right now I get no signal with my new setup.

i had the same proplem with a 4700 up dated to a 4900. i redid the ird. and did a checkswicth,3 or 4 times until it came up sw21. ps. i belevied i redone card too.

is your signal locking on 129, if not you may be picking up 110 or 119,on the 129 position.

Bulls, sounds like an alingment issue
Postie, the spot beams only effect locals and I dont think NY is a spot beam local
Canman, sounds like you dont have your dish aligned properly, you may want to invest in a meter or get someone local to help you with more experience, look up the Dish 500 manual and see if you are set close for your zip and make sure your mast is plumb or none of the setting numbers will be true.
