I know AOL is not the greatest, but you can now get it for free if you have a broadband connection. Just go to their site and sign up for a free email address and you will be able to download and use aol for free.
If you had an AOL account over the last too years you can use the same username. If you are a paying extra for the service on top of your broadband connection call the sob's and stop paying.
