I just got mine in the mail today and am having the no atr error also. in n2edit it says no atr, in trex it says error receiving atr error id 4, in wx5.42 it says trying to reset card-reset failed, in nagramaster it says eeprom read failed when trying to read and atr does not appear to be a valid rom 100 atr invalid or no atr. I tried turning up that pot to the right also and nothing. I upgraded my power suply to an independant 9volt. It did take the new13 flash very nicely but it reflashed it again to be sure and it flashed ok. Only com port 1 does anything and the card is in white side up. Anyone having any luck with this yet or have a suggestion. tryed 3 cards (2 yellow 1 blue) same reading on all. had jumper on for flash and off for use.

Never liked the glitcher to do programming. Try using an ISO programmer.

All I can tell you is to try using N2Edit and an ISO programmer. If you still don't get an ATR then the card is looped.

thanks everyone. I tried each and every one of your suggestions. I even resoldered every solder joint that you recomended inspecting. tried all those software versions........looks like its time to contact the peeps I bought it from. The Pot I throtled slowly thew full motion while atttempting reads, im not sure how to get the readings that you are talking about? Is this something I can do with my multimeter and if so what are its settings?

In Semi-Conclusion; I took your advice and ordered a iso programer to read and write the card. Still stuck exchanging the mikobuN2 but if both work when I am done it wont be money wasted. I need one to use as a card reader for my PC DVB. which one would you guys recomend for that? Ordering a new one will also save me half the shipping transit time.

Thanks for helping me trouble shoot this thing all. You all know how difficult it was the first time, let alone DOA hardware trouble too. Ill post here in a week or so when I get the "stuff". http://www.dishnewbies.com/Forum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif

Try putting card in receiver (without dish cable hooked up )
after message ,remove card and wait .
A new screen will display info.
under card I.D. is it all 0's ?
If so, i beleiveyour card is looped !

I have a mikobu n2 yellow, and have gotten goog luck with it.
It dosn't have the 4619 chip, but only use it on 102 rev 103 -rev 105.
Got 36 unlocked,and only looped 3.
I flashed mine with jumper on ,and left it on .

Yes, It does give a card ID and identify the card correctly in receiver.

Looks like I need to send this thing back as DOA.

Just one last thing to try.
I had one that read atr in n2edit using my iso programer.
But not in nagramaster. gave message no,or invalid atr.
I know you probably heard this many times, but just try it anyways.
It did work for my above mentioned card.

Clean the gold pad gently with a pencil eraser.

Iso programmer pictured above read and wrote to card. thanks for all the help here on this. Now just to hope the RMA returns me a working unlooper in a week or so.

Are you putting the card in with the contacts up, have heard others doing this.

When I bought mine , I read somewhere that you need to change the bit per second rate on your PC.Go to device manager/ports/comm1 port/port settings change bps rate from 9600 to 115200.Also change flow control from none to hardware.Mine has worked fine for me.Good luck.
