I know this may be a basic question, but here goes: am thinking about buying a virgin rom 102 card, I know it has to be less than rev 109. I want to use it with a coolsat, so i can get bev and dish together; It needs to be opened, which i can follow directions posted here, but are there any extra steps necessary because it is a virgin card? any tips from users that have experience with this situation would be appreciated.

Virgin cards will be rev 103 or 105, and nothing special is needed other than unlocking.

a friend offered it at 150, guess all i need is an unlocker if I plan to use it for coolsat, unlock it, and aux it from what i understand. I also understand, the coolsat will write to the card, so i dont have to program it, just unlock it. newbie to plastic, used MC, atmega, FTA, just never got around to plastic, kind of nervous about looping it, but I guess letting the coolsat write to it is less dangerous for a first timer. Besides, would like to get bev and dn on same receiver.

rev 103 and 105 open fairly easily with only a modded T911, a new fast unlocker is not needed for these revs.
