I just got my white nexus and the lowest I can set the pot is 254. I have a Bourns 5K 10 turn pot on my desk and think I will replace it for the standard pot that comes on the unlocker. Good idea?

set that pot on that nexus at 700 ohms and go with it. I have glitch all my cards at 700 ohms.

sorry about a stupid question but what is the pot on the white nexus that mili sells? I have been trying to open my rom 2 rev 105 for about 24 hours. Still nothing. I am using the white nexus the power supply is 9v 3.0A. The loader is flashed with newd13. I am using narga master ver 2.0 loader version.

3.0 amps????!!?!?!?! Dude, that will burn up voltage regulator. now if you meant 300 MA that is fine. I use a 800 MA reglulated P/S sometimes. The pot is the blue square with the white circle in the middle. uses a straight screwdriver to adjust. You check it's ohms at the two points between the power supply jack and the pot labeled RTS

Looking a milis pic above, the pot is just to the right of the dipswitches. Just to the right of that are 2 pads where you measure the resistance.

I did replace the stock pot with the Bourns. I also soldered a couple of cat5 wires to the solder pads next to the pot connections and left it connected to the meter while unlocking. I was getting 'invalid ATR' at first and I moved the dips to 4 down only and hit the card for about 2 minutes with the wrong unlock script (for a rev106) ROM102_ND13_A0FF-INTERCEPT-autoVCC_20.XVB. Then I switched it back to 2 and 5 down and hit it with rebelsurf. I don't know if loosening the contacts on the dip switch did it or the wrong script, but at 214 ohms it popped in 2 minutes, 6 seconds. I also used a 2000 miliamp ac adapter. The pot did not even get warm.
