I'm hoping someone can help me.
I unlocked the receiver and patched ( rom 102 -v28g-blocker for 311 spoof 287 rev) i also patched (blocker part2 rom 102 -v28g-blocker for 311 spoof 287) i also patched (pengapatch). These patches were posted on mili's site and i patched them 7-27-06. The patches never worked and now no matter what i try i can't get back into the 811 receiver.
when i try to unlock i get
"unlooking card"
"Error"
When i reset the atr i get
ATR: 3F FF 95 00 FF 91 81 71 FF 47 00 44 4E 41 53 50 31 30 32 20 52 65 76 32 38 37 6B
CAM Type: ROM102 Rev287
Setting IFS
Provider: Unknown
Does anyone know what i should do????
Please help...:(

Sounds like you did not corrctly apply the blockers and you are locked out...there are some suggestions, that I won't go into here, about opening them back up but I have yet to see anything actually work.
Your best best may be to convert the card slot and get a 102 to use with it. Hopefully you saved the bin you wrote ot the original read from the chip.

Not really that difficult but too much for me to try to explain w/o pics.
All you have to do is cut the chip clk, rst and i/o line loose and same with card slot then wire the card slot line to the places you cut the chip loose from.
It's a little touchy as the spots to cut are tiny but I have done a couple now.

So what your saying is this is all you have to do to use the card slot in a 311 or 811? That means you can pull the virgin chip out of a box, and still use it by wiring up the card slot. Nice.;) Hadn't even thought of doing that. ....or am I missing something?
If you search and download the pics for the 311 mods and interface cards you will see the connect points skinerd is referring to. It's all been posted already, just got to find it.

yes, partially correct, I think.....
A virgin receiver still cannot be used, but the virgin chip can.
Connecting the card slot is really only beneficial if the internal cam gets screwed and you have the info from it saved. The a card (or another chip mounted to a board) will work in the slot. or if you just wanted to get the chip off the board and onto another board so you can reprogram it easier.
Ok, I see. So the chip or the card used in the card slot still has to match the receiver. Since virgin was never activated, you cant really make a match....or at least not a match that gets TV. :D Thanks skinerd. I was hoping we could pull the rom chips, then use the chipless 311/811 just like a 301 or something, and I suppose you can so long as you have the original, "married" image from the original box....if I'm understanding you correctly now.

Hello:
After I've added the card slot would the proceedure be to get a 102 card from mili ,write the org. eeprom to it, and then applie a current blocker.

do you have the bin off your 811 before it went to unknown provider

The chip's are being pulled out or all IRD"s now...311's ...811's are the fav ..as everything is going Mpeg4....the 322's...ect ..all ya have to do is pull the chip///mount it on a waffer board...and you have a rom 102..price of an 811 on Ebay is around $100.....LoL.

So if I have an 811 with a 289 rev or something like that, I can just wire up the slot and use my rom102 card and I should be up and running?

no that wont work becuase you need 2 unlock the 811 and get the private bin and 289 cant be unlocked

You're right with rev. 289 you can't glitch to get the box key...etc.
But for this topic/thread I'm just surprised that it would work the way it was stated, learn something new everyday.
Basically the imbedded CAM is locked/soft looped, but we can bypass that by wiring up the card slot.

OK..one more question from me.
Would it work if I remove the chip, then wire up the slot, mount chip on board and use the cardslot?

Yes that will work,,,,,but you have to have the chip unlocked and be able to read it.....it will give you the boxkey and cam ID...than you can remove the chip...and use the card slot...once you have the chip out..and mount it on a wafer board,,,you can use it as an open 102....on any IRD you want.
That's one of the reason's in all 811 post's..you will see that your told to read the chip...and save the bin in a few location's...you can't Jtag a 811...so you have to have a backup of the number's....

Ah...so the reading has to be done prior to removing the chip. I thought since the chip is married to the IRD, removing it then read would work.
So ofcourse once you have removed the chip you would need to re-connect all the cut traces, then the card slot wiring begins. If I can find the specs. on the wiring..lol Thanks for the reply.

All 111, 311, 811s use private info, every box is different........there is no way to change the embedded info. And the only way to get that info is to read the chip, if it can't be read, and never has been read, the box, and the chip, are useless.
If the info has been obtained, and then you get locked out, then you can wire and use the card slot, if you saved the original info.

Not reallly you can read the chip while it's in the IRD..or out of it.....The IRD has to be ex-subbed so that the IRD info is transfered to the chip... once you have the chip read..than your set to use the chip...or a open rom 102-103 with the IRD....The chip is simply a rom 103 card.......and since you xan't Jtag the unit....you have to sub it.....than unlock it to get the boxkey's and cam ID off the chip.
Same hold's true for a rom 102 card...stick it in a 3100 sub the unit....pull the card ,,wait untill you can unlock the card ...read it with *getcaminfo*...and it will tell you what the boxkey's and CAM ID are...LoL......

ou might as well try glitching back into the card with rebelsurfs omni unlockers. There is a fair chance of looping it or it not working, but hell you have nothing left to loose. Penga also made differnt versions of his blockers for internal and external cams due to unkown provider issues. I dunno if thats all in the past now, but not long ago there were differnt version. That could have been your problem.

If that's the case then I would rather pull the chip and read it outside instead of cutting traces to read it. It's good to know that the chip is a 103 card, thankz.
And guys I've searched this site and another site could not find info. on wiring the card slot. Anyone got pics/or info. on this? Thankzzz:cool:
