Question of ROM103 use

I had some time to think about this recently, and I may have reason to believe that ROM103 cards may not be restricted to dual-tuner receivers.

You see, I have several of the ROM103 cards and I have no dual-tuner receivers. Each of these ROM103s came to me in receivers we acquired by various means. It was unfortunately while blue cards were still working, so I just added the receiver and the card to each their respective stacks and went on about my business.

Why would I receive ROM103s in single-tuner receivers if they didn't work in them?

sorry i don't have a reply for you-but hopefully there is a way to use rom103 in place of a rom102.
i could be way off here but i'm just trying to get this thread started.

I once bought a 3100 off Ebay..it came with a *H* card in it....LoL...it was useless as the stream was than HU...but the *H* fit nicely on the stack I already had...why did it come in the IRD.....I think it was alien's...?

yeh basically you need rom102 card for DN-bell
or a rom103 for dual tuner IRD's.
an unlocker and iso also.
or just buy mili's 311 and watch tv with a little programming!-nice ird!

In answer to jmf38, I am using Dish. I am willing to concede that people put those cards in those machines merely for there to be a card present. I guess they knew they couldn't be used currently. :rolleyes:
