I am going to use read my plastic with the iso programmer in my PC using Mytheatre software so I do not need to worry about JTAGing the receiver. Most of the threads on programing the card deal with marrying it to a receiver it seems. I have the iso programmer pictured above and am using nedit2.55. I have read the card. saved the image (multiple times) and cleaned the code space.
As far as my programing intenstions, since this is my first time I intend on purchasing a 3m from some undisclosed sorce to get me started.
My question is this; am I now ready to apply a 3m with blocker to the card or is there something else I am missing? Does there need to be dish or bev receiver information on the card even if its not going to be used in one?
one thing that did not go as I had planed was wwhen I choose unlock and entered the password i received an error message that said;
an unhandled exception has occurred in your application. if you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attemp to continue. Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow. If I click continue nothing happens. i was able to read the card without unlocking, as far as I know, must not have been locked?
