Model 4000 and 4500 exactly the same,
Your Ird still connect to stream, remove access card
The junkyard fix for your receiver is the square silver or #1 pin that is around the tsop. it is u19.solder a wire to it and ground the other end. it should flicker--the picture, do not turn off power, wait for 5-7 minutes. They will ask please insert the card, that done.

I wouldn't recommend doing that on any model other than the 'grey' boxes (x000, x500).
Use a Jtag for all others.

Here is the tool at xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
"Our F040 Jtag is a stand alone unit that will automatically repair all older IRD's (1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 4500) with no tsop port and with out the removal of the TSOP chip. Simply drop the probe on to the TSOP and the unit will read/save/write/repair your IRD automatically! Get those old IRD's that you though were goners and bring them back to life in a snap with the PRO-Jtag, or simply read box keys from non ecm'd units."
Its a jtag tool!!

From what I read from DssHacker, the F040 costs about 400US.
Yes, I have pics for the Junkyard fix. I'll upload it in the files.
