I have a question about the triple LNB's. Correct me if I am wrong here, but don't both the DTV and Dish Net triple LNB's both have LNB's that orient to 101, 110 and 119 degrees? Don't both the dish net and dtv triple lnb's have the 4 way multi switch in them? And, wouldn't that mean that on the other end of one of these dishes, whether it was a dish net or dave triple lnb dish, that you could hook up EITHER a dish net or dtv reciever? I just havn't seen anyone come out and say that this is the case, but I don't see why not. I am thinking that if I just get a triple LNB dish, then I can run dtv or dish net with it. This would mean I would only need one dish instead of two. Can someone confirm my reasoning or tell me where I am wrong in my thinking. Thanks.

Afterthought: What would happen if you hooked up a 4 way multi switch to two of the leads off of a triple lnb?

Yes an no
dtv sat pos as we all know are 101,110,119
dish sat pos at 110 mostly spot beam,119 both spot and conus
121 mostly conus,148,157 all conus
so depending on the channels you want yes you can hook up both systems.

I'm not looking to get HD or para todos. I just want to get dave and charlie on the same dish. It is my understanting (I may be wrong here), that the dish 110 is slightly different than the dave 110. Therefore, if you just replace the dave 110 with a old single dish 110 lnb, then this will work just as I had hoped by modifying the dtv triple lnb. This sounds great to me because I wanted to just have one dish out back. However, it is going to be one hell of a lot easier and cost effective to just mount my dish net twin lnb on the same pole as my dave dual lnb, and call it good. This has been an informative line of question and discussion, but I think it is just too much hassle to mix and match if you ask me. Thanks to everybody on both sides of the fence for addressing this issue. (by that I mean I posted this same question in the bev/dish net section as well) Thanks for the responses.
