If anyone has been shafted by panasonics defective HDTV LCD projection tv's lamp failure issues I have found a class action lawsuit covering the XXlc13 models so far. Panasonic will send out a new bigscreen tv to you free that is a newer model without the problems ( So they claim, Right??? LMAO ). You need the original sales receipt and proof the lamp failed at least 3 times. ( Lamps run about $300.00 each shipped and last usually 3-14 months, Although I have seen 4-5 lamps a year easily).

tvlampsettlement.com has the info
Panasonic number for your new set 1-800-211-7262

If anyone is considering buying a new set please kick yourself in the head so you DO NOT BUY PANASONIC!!!

PS. I didn't buy this product just seen too many in the repair shop here and now have another one right now.
PSS. XXlc14 models have the same problems but no settlements going as of yet so save the invoices and stock up on vasoline for now, Hopefully in the future the class action adds these.

Birdie,

Glad to see some dialogue here on LCD TV's. I'm getting ready to take that plunge and find the HDTV forums clogged with blowhards that don't care to share such data with newbies. A recent trip to Fry's had a salesman 'tailing' me while I shopped in that area.

Is there any place one can go (internet-wise) for some good info before taking a hit in the pocketbook?
