Is there a fix for the Twinhan 102G DVB card? A friend was going to give me his DVB card and I was wondering if its worth while. Thanks!

There is no cardless "fix" for the DVB card, yet. But if you have a card reader and an open rom 102, you can use the cardsharing software to get all programming. (you don't really share the card, it's just on your system).
For more info on cardsharing, go to dvbn.happysat.org

You'll need to get another dish. You'll need a larger dish (30 inch or so ), with a linear lnb. You will probably want a motor to move the dish, also. Mili has the whole setup for under $200.
I don't have a rom 102 either, but I started checking yard sales, looking for old IRD that has a card, or one of the cardless receivers (you can remove the chip and mount it on a board, making your own 102 ). Personally, I'm keeping my finger crossed that a cardless fix will come, soon, but, I'm gonna keep my eyes open for a card...

For Dish and Bev a Dish 500 is just fine. You might need a Dishpro lnb.For all other FTA channels a large 30 inch+ motorized dish is recommended.
