I moved a year ago and stopped testing DN and went to cable. Now that I am more settled I am looking into going back to Dish. I am not sure where to start. Is there still an option to have all channels including PPV open? Also, can you get local HD channels or at least National network feeds for HD? Thanks to anyone who can help this newbie out.

You could atleast tell the truth.
Right now 102 cards and sonicview and viewsat FTA's are working. Also coolsat FTA's work but you need a 102 card for coolsat.Sonicview and viewsat are cardless.
Theres no way of telling how long FTA will last, and its more likely that FTA will go down before 102,so you have to decide that on your own.
FTA : price,ease of use
102 :more expensive, but proven to out last the rest.
Hope that helps.
I just realized you want HD....102 is your only option in that case.

Also the 102 Chip cards (widely offered at many different prices).
Although you have many options as to where to shop, I have come to believe that mili's store is amoung the safest and rather than cut and run he is with us for the long haul.

Yeah true, if you decide to take the 102 road, buy from mili.
FTA is legal untill you tamper with it,so if you decide to take that road.....
