question for milli

Quite a while ago now I read your explanation of why fta would never have a bin. I found it quite beleivable. Question is how did VS do it? What exactly could they have done to expose map57? I haven't seen anyone address this. As soon as this fix came out on Aug13 you declared 'enjoy your 2 weeks of tv'. It's almost a month now and nobody else has 'it'. Now things are getting really messy cause the pirates are trying to hack the pirates instead of the card. So what is this precious bit of info VS got and never mind who or where they got it from but how was it done? cause I don't 'get it'!!:confused:

I doubt Mili knows for sure.But there's a hundred rumors out there.Pick one. My avorite is Viewsat paid someone big bucks for it and no one else wants to take the gamble.

Chanes are Mili doesn't know who or what happened for them to get FTA going again, but I would be willing to bet they bought it. With Mili saying enjoy your 2 weeks, I would say this fix will be short lived too, just like enjoy your 2 weeks ment I bet. Another rev update will take care of it again. But when is the question? Who knows. I bet if other FTA receivers come out with a cardless fix they will update revs again. But thats a guess just like the rest of my post.

Thats the answer I'm not looking for. I'm wondering what could have been done to compromise the map.
i.e. they may have paid big bucks but -what did they buy? and or what did the receiver of these big bucks give them and how did they do 'it'

That is a great explanation Mili. And I agree, Rom 10 still works for the barker channels.... money is the only explanation for this to continue. VS hack is short lived. Indications are the increased activity of the provider in the past few days.

Revision updates to the stream occur every 30 to 45 days... soon now I predict black screens for VS and possibly Rom 102 and 103. Test while you can and if you need TV be sure to have a subscription, so you can watch TV.

Maybe I'm just hopeful, but if DN had another bullet in the camber don't you think that would have pulled the trigger by now? Just to demoralize us?

The increased activity just means they are looking and do not have a solution right now, IMHO!

This is testing and it is always a wait and see game. We do not know what is in their back pocket, but I will suggest that VS has another pocket also. They seem to know a lot more than they let on.

Wish there were a fix for the SO cards though!
