I am a expressvu sub and i was just looking at their site, just a couple of questions.

1) does expressvu insist on the 'professional' install, or do they still let you install yourself? If I was a new sub and they insisted on the $99 'professional' install, I would be pissed.

2) is there a link to programming packages for owners of equipment.

3) what model is that little itty bitty reciever they use as a 'standard' reciever.

4) who the hell designed their web page for expressvu? its shitty now that they are trying to push the rental shit.

just asking cause a guy i know a bit asked me to check for him, and the web site sucks.

thanks guys

Someone might know, but I'd just call them and ask if you must pay for an install. You could always tell them the dish was already wired up when you moved in. I don't know about you, but I don't let strangers in my house. No reason you should have to let their installer in. If you can hook up a VCR you can plug in a Bev box. Got no idea on the other questions you asked.

from some more pokeing around on the site, they still will sell you equipment, the link is there. Its small and kinda hidden but they will still sell you equipment.

They will install for free on a 24 month contract, but on a 12 month they want $99.

I am going to call them fo a laugh and try and see if they will allow self install, and see if they will give a $99 credit on the bill(ie free basic system)
