I have been working trying to get my 6000 converted to B*v.
I first got a good signal on the 82 bird, no problem. Then I jtagged and wrote a vigin eeprom then did the sector erase at SA30. Hooked it back up and it did the conversion just fine because when i went to the system info it had changed the firmware.

The problem is after all that the receiver does not detect the signal fro 82 or 91 ( i know the signal is there because i have succesfully converted a 2800 and i know the signal is there by the fact that the 6000 receiver took the update from the stream in the first place.)

Why has the signal dissappeared ater the update? I have done the check switch to no avail.

Another interesting thing is that if i remove the 8psk module and hook it back up the the signal is loud and clear.

I cannot be that the 8psk is bad though because i just reflashed the receiver back to d*sh and i get all the programming including the HD channels.
Its like the converted firmware on B*v is not recognizing the 8psk module.

What am i missing?

i just found a similar thread stating that the problem may be that the unit model now shows up as 6000C instead of 60008PSK. how can I get the model to upgrade to receive the b*v HD channels?

Leave the 8PSK module out. BEV does not use it. You will get all the HD fine without the module.
