Guy,
Can anyone help me i'm frustrated with this viewsat i bought....here's what my problem is...i'm getting all international channels but no american. I have dish twin legacy dish 500 where 110 and 119 come out from one cable and other i have dish 300 with single lnb for international. I'm using switch 21, i change dish type to legacy twin dish 1 for 119 and dish 2 for 110. Upon doing it brings all international but only few american...no ppv or hbo/cine/sho/starz/max pack. I don't see any 61.5 option so i picked 110 option....it scans all channel but when i go to that channel it's all black and some of them says it's searching. I know it take long for key to roll so i left it on for whole night but still no go. I'm running with the file that came out on 9/6/06...also another issue is I see all channels in doubles or triple. On my info i see 102/102 twice...not sure why.

something i have done that work that i have gotten from other sites:
Considering you are getting signal from both antennas, I would have
to say that the switch is burnt.
Ensure your receiver is off anytime you change switches outside (I unplug it from the wall).
Diseqc switches are very sensitive and you'll burn it if you don't do so.
I find that SW-21 work best and channel changing is a lot faster. You
can go with a 22KHz tone switch those are good also.
--------------------------------------------------------------
do a factory reset in the setup menu and then when you do a scan make sure you turn the LNB's off when you scan.
if you are doing 110 make sure you turn 119 lnb off then when you are going to scan 110 turn 119 lnb off and then make sure you turn them back on once done.
duplicates should be gone. and make sure you are scanning the correct bird.
i scanned 110 and then when i did 119 it had 110 on the top right and i was scanning 110 twice.

Try loading one of the sitinfo files and then F1 scan
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Try this way:
Automatic Satellite Channel Search
1. Automatic Satellite Channel Search for 119 Satellite
. . . . A. MENU--INSTALLATION--ANTENNA SETUP
. . . . B. Select Satellite to be Searched using large Black “LEFT” or “RIGHT” remote ARROW keys Tell you see EchoStar 7 in window (119 Bird)
. . . . C. Insert your antenna information (Usually just need to change LNB TYPE and DiSEqC Port #)
. . . . D. 119: EchoStar 7 (Usually just need to change Items 2 and 7)
. . . . . . 1) LNB Power ON
. . . . . . 2) LNB Type STANDARD (Legacy LNB) or (“OCS-DP” for DishPRO LNB)
. . . . . . 3) LNB Freq 11250
. . . . . . 4) 22KHhz OFF
. . . . . . 5) TP Freq 12224 (Use 12239 if 12224 doesn't show YELLOW signal strength bar--12224 is a Spot Beam TP)
. . . . . . 6) Search Option ALL
. . . . . . 7) DiSEqC Port 1 (NONE if only 1 LNB)
. . . . . . 8) Motor Off (if none)
. . . . E. Press Remote Control OK; STB automatically searches for all radio & TV channels on bird.
. . . . F. EXIT, “YES” to Save, EXIT until at TV screen
2. Automatic Satellite Channel Search for 110 Satellite (IF NEEDED)
. . . . A. MENU--INSTALLATION--ANTENNA SETUP
. . . . B. Select Satellite to be Searched using large Black “LEFT” or “RIGHT” remote ARROW keys Tell you see EchoStar 6,8 in window (110 Bird)
. . . . C. Insert your antenna information (Usually just need to change LNB TYPE and DiSEqC Port #)
. . . . D. 110: Echostar 6,8 (Usually just need to change Items 2 and 7)
. . . . . . 1) LNB Power ON
. . . . . . 2) LNB Type STANDARD (Legacy LNB) or (“OCS-DP” for DishPRO LNB)
. . . . . . 3) LNB Freq 11250
. . . . . . 4) 22 KHz OFF
. . . . . . 5) TP Freq 12224
. . . . . . 6) Search options ALL
. . . . . . 7) DiSEqC Port 2
. . . . . . 8) Motor OFF (if none)
. . . . E. Press Remote Control OK; ViewSat automatically searches for all radio & TV channels on bird.

It could be the switch you may half to go to a 4 in 1 switch insted of the sw21 switch some receiver's dont like tthat switch. Try to just put the 500 dish on and take the sw21 switch off strait throu and see if that works. Thene you will know if its a switch problem.
Hope this helps
