301 13 dish pro

ok got 301 13 programed card everything is ok but no signal...hooked up to my other dis with legacy lnbs and sw21...run check switch but get differnt switch every time i run it...si hook up to other dish with dish pro twin lnb...run check switch thats ok...but after setting up dish with signal meter reciever still get no signal on this dis or other set up...ant ideas????

you must have a signal on a dish*net bird before it will detect the correct switch type. Those signal meters will show any bird up there wont they.

Hook up the 013 with no sw21, just run it straight thru to ird. find sat 119 and then hook up the other dish and the sw21 but only one coax, the one for 119. Run check switch.
once it finds sw21 and sat 119 hook up other dish and the 110 side of the sw21 and tune it in on sat 110.
after you are done and can find both reboot ird or run check switch again and you should be all set

ok so unplug sw21 from legacy lnb and set it...i am using a dish 500 set up on both dishes...on is legacy lnbs and the other is dish pro

ok this is what ive got...legacy lnbs with sw 21 switch finds 119 but no 110...dish pro doesnt find either...signal meter is strong on both 119 and 110 on both set ups...when running check switch on legacy it comes up with weird switch set ups but no sw21...any ideas????????????? also on dish pro it finds dish pro twin but no signal...lnb has two connections do i need a dp21 switch to use it???

Hey jojo, the 301 doesn't need any switches at all and is not compatible with legacy equipment. The DP LNB has a built in switch. You can hook up 2 receivers independently off of the DP LNB.

ok..but why would i get signal of 119 and not 110 on legacy and nothing of DP LNB????? at rev 109 rec p342...reciever took update when getting 119 of legacy set up

My bad. I got it backwards. Not the first time with the same question. The older receivers aren't compatible with the DP 500.

You aren't using the SW21 with the DP LNB are you? If so, remove it and try the DP.

no sw21 on legact lnb...dp is bad and sw21 on legacy are correded are flacky so ordered replacements for both set ups
