it appears that DN has put a rom206 chip in place of the rom102.
so if you plan on buying a virgin 311 to get the bga chip. you will be in for a surprise when you can't glitch it. it is the new embedded chip.
stay away from serial#'s that start with S190.
i believe that the rom102's are S075,S076(serial #'s).
i thought that i was gonna end up with 2 more rom102 bga's.
not the case, i have 2 rom206's that i used the dremel tool method on.
keep that in mind before buying a new virgin 311.
or play safe and buy mili's unlocked 311-ready for programming!
they(DN)are using rom206 in other irds(new) also.
may be old news but i thought i would post this as a reminder or new news for anybody to read.
