811 basic question

i have been checking out the HD recievers so when i save up enough cash.
i'm gonna get a nice-descent HD tv.
I have been reading where the 811 doesn't pick up all the HD channels like a 6000,etc. then i read where the 811 will pick up just as many channels.
any suggestions on a HD IRD?
i'm hearing good and bad about the 811.
some guys are saying that the 811 doesn't have the ability to get all the HD channels like a 6000 can.
is there any truth to this?
i am not real concerned about HD but i have been wondering about it cause if the 811 can do the same job-I might purchase one.
i'm happy with standard TV but my older RCA could use a recapp job-rejuvinated.-so i'm thinking about a new HD IRD, if i'm gonna go with a new tv.

the 811 and the 6000 are both mpeg 2 they will get all mpeg 2 channels.
the 6000 can be j tagged when and if it needs to be. the 811 cant.
the 6000 is a Legacy receiver the 811 is like a 301.

the 811 has DVI hook up( better pic?) the 6000 uses the RGB( red blue and green for video). i have both the 6000 works fine. when i get the 811 going i will compare.
