Any predictions from the experts as to how well the CS carded fix will do with this change?

good question if your using a auxed 102 card in your coolsat will it figure out the map cmd? Or are they sending a whole new map which the card would have to be updated to figure out?

The MAP (Mathematics Application Processor) is in the card they are only sending commands to a different address in the MAP.
The old Map Call $57 and the new Map Call $3B. :eek:
The Card and Coolsat should be fine however, if they are also start wiping out session keys for your CAS...
then you will go down.

i am not an expert, but read that the coolsats w/ cards should survive, but will probably need a new bin. the carded CS irds should hold up until the next big "card swap".:cool:

I seem to remember that the coolsat folks had help from the plastic folks to get the aux setup to work. I hope they are still buddies!

What card swap? their not be another card swap all new receivers are cardless and cannot be hacked at the moment. Right now a lot of subs are jumping on the HD bandwagon as they are receiving cheap upgrades to mpeg4 receivers. Once they only have a few subs left without carless receivers they willbe force to upgrade their hardware. Then all Dish will have to do change theirstream to lock out all of the current hackable rom based hacks.

i did not mean to say a card swap would be soon. but as history of this game will show, once all their software / stream ecms are overcome, they will change the hardware / plastic. and the game will continue.:cool:
