Hey there,

I have been trying to get signal on a new dish that I have installed. It is a dish 500 with a dish pro lnb. I am using a 301 013 receiver to check signal strength. After trying forever to get a signal with no luck - I did a check switch test and it came back with no switch box detected. Is my lnb not working? Thanks for any help.

Get a union to hook the cables two gather and try no switch box at all,
maybe you don't have it aimed right.

Other than that buy a signal detector

Thanks smilingjack. I don't doubt at all I have it aimed wrong. I'm just a little concerned because I bought the dish and lnb off of fleabay. The seller said it was new. Everything looks brand new but the lnb. I'm probably just being paranoid. I was just curious if the "no switch box detected" was a dead giveaway that it is messed up. Thanks again.

Probably no signal, don't think both of them would go bad at once, more the sw 21 is more likely

Dish Pro Receivers will detect DP LNB's/Switches without a signal.
Legacy LNB's/Switches will not be detected without a signal.

Are you using a switch ?? You dont say you are??
The LNB has internal switches what you should see is DP Twin or Quad detected you should not even have to do a check switch if you are just going for the 110 and 119?
