The area of the parts remains the same and the constrains of the triangle are the same yet a 1x1 square finds its way in there. I am baffled.

The pics are distorted.... if you look at the first pic (the 13x5) triangle it should be an area of 32.5..But if you figure it out by the measurements given its only 32....And the last triangle gives an area (including the empty square) is 33.....Merely a distored pic of both...

multiples of 9 have only 3 different signs ...good chance of hitting the right one.

what they ask you to do to pick your number always end in multiples of 9

No Sir, there is absolutely no chance here, do it as much times as you want I'll show you always the right sign, nice try though.

Yeah, the only possible answers are 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63,72,81,.

Go back and look at the chart.

Those numbers above will always have teh same symbol under them, they just change the symbol on each instance.

Let me explain.

only 2 digit numbers....

10..1+0= 1... 10-1= 9
11..1+1=2... 11-2= 9
12.. 1+2=3...12-3=9

13-19 are the same, all will equal 9

20..2+0=2...20-2=18
21..2+1=3...21-3=18
22..2+2=4...22-4=18

23-29 are the same, all will equal 18

30..3+0=3...30-3=27
31..3+1=4...31-4=27
32..3+2=5...32-5=27

33-39 are the same, all will equal 27

Ok, you get teh point, there are only 9 possible answers and each of those 9 will always have the same symbol.

Just go look, do it again and just wait, and look at those 9 numbers and see for yourself.

Well, try this one then...

1) Choose a number between 1 and 10.

2) Multiply that number by 9.

3) Now, if you have a single digit number, fine, keep that number for the next step, but if you have a 2 didgit number, then add those 2 numbers together.

4) Finally, subtract 5 from the resulting numbr in step 3.

Ok, now you have a number, no more math.

5) With that number, find the corresponding number in the alphabet.
1=A, 2=B, 3=C, 4=D, etc...

6) Now, with that Letter, think of a COUNTRY, not a City, not a State, but a COUNTRY, that starts with that letter.

7) Now, spell that Country out and look at the last letter. With that letter, think of an ANIMAL that starts with that letter.

8) Last step.... Now, spell the name of the Animal and look at the last letter, this time, think of a FRUIT that starts witht that letter.

Wait for it........

Are you thinking of a KANGAROO, eating an ORANGE, in DENMARK?

There is a small chance you aren;t.
