What Really Happend At First I Was Under The Asumption That The Map Code Was Released And All Fta/atmega/ect Were Up With New Software.

But After Reading A Little More It Appears Dish Just Removed The Ecm Code From The Stream.

I Take It This Was Causing Problems With Subs Or Somthing, Maybee Someone Could Shed Some Light On This For Me.

Charl*e applied the Map57, primarily to whack FTA units - it was a pretty stout and effective remedy - but the FTA coders got the best of it anyway. What do you do if you're Charl*e?

You come up with another idea, something stronger than the last idea that you thought would be a permanent solution, but wasn't.

Look for their next assault to be a real challenge. As for Atmegas and Rom10's, the providers aren't worried about those. If they work, fine, if they get caught up in the map call tornado, fine. It's FTA they're gunning for, since it's the biggest piracy threat DN faces today.

3 new map calls in this latest update, expect everything to go back the way it was a few weeks ago very soon. As soon as dish turns it on many tv's will be turning off. fta included. how long they are down will only be on how real it was that fta got the entire map. (hard to believe that they did)

Woods: I agree sort of, but today is Friday and traditionally the day they do their deeds. I am surprised today has been quiet although on my two subs when I turned them on they told me channels I had subbed too were not (subbed)? After a few minutes they all came back though. Wierd, no?

Guess it is time to put the 102 back in the stream? Better to error on the side of caution though.

I to am a lil suprised that it's so quiet....but I'll bet the farm that it won't br for long...new map call for sure...updated rev for sure...and yes it will be an act to shut down the FTA... Time will tell I'm not brave enough to stick the 102's back in...when 10's only take 5 min's to do key's on...and they only roll them every 12 hours or so....

See how it goes? I thought Charlie played his best tricks on Tuesday and Thursday. We should be in the clear at least until Monday I'd guess.

I think that, anymore, it is at the whim of Charlie and a safer method is to pull your card when not viewing and then check the forums before firing it up again.

Maybe to cautious? Just my opinion!

Not too cautious Bandit5906. This is VERY good advice and people should do exactly that. I just unplug the power from the IRD when not in use.
