I have a 508 that I have used for some time when the Atmega was introduced. All PVR functions working. I was using the original Atmega RSA Mod, receiving ALL channels. When the Atmega went down, I just switched to a handy 301 and went plastic as to a avoid the process of rewriting to the 508.
Now that the Atmega is up and running again, even if it should be short lived I dusted it off and wrote to my Atmega card using a public script. Almost all is working except that when I do a check switch it does not recognize 110 only 119
Firmware is at P304 and I can not get it to update to P309. I have tried all of the simple things such as checking update withoput my permission and leaving the receiver off with the remote for several days and it is a no go.

Do any of the experts out there, have a simple solution of forcing an update.???

just got a question. is the original atmega fix the same as the first rom10 fix? if so, thats not the no rsa fix then. right? if thats the case, then an update will wipe all your info out and u'll have to redo it anyway. if it is the no rsa, then either get a updated tsop and reflash or erase sector sa60 and sa62 in flash 2 and restream.
as far as the 110/119 problem. do u get the switch id? or is that messed up too? i ask cause i had this same issue with my 510 and i did a check switch and checked the alt setting, and that worked. try that.
post results.

Not positive about the rom 10 fix but I have been using the Original Atmega RSA-Mod to program. IRD>Roo44779361 Cam>S0066816277 B/K>52542bd807dcec6f.

When I do a check switch I get 119 with all and next to it shows Conn with the warning that only one satellite is connected. Now when I select Alternate and do a check switch it shows both the 119 and the 110 even.
At that point I receive my locals that I have on my card but the receiver still will not beg me to take the software update. Also from there if I go to system info and let it go through 1 of 8 - to 8 of eight I get the big red X in place of sat.110. Of course to get my locals back I must start over by selecting Alt. and check switch. Do you now suggest me erasing both SA60 and SA62 in flash 2 I sure hope that I have explained this fairly clear because I'm very confused myself.
