How do I program a ROM 10 that is married to one reciever to work in a reciever that I do not have the box keys? Is there a way to set a ROM 10 back to virgin state so it will work in any reciever? I want to use the 301 to setup a dish 1000.

rom 10 will not be working long enough to worry about it, they should be out of commission in another day or two if not already.

I'm just trying to get past the "Incorrect smart card" nag so I use the 301 to aim a dish 1000.

Just insert the card in the card slot upside down and hit 6-1-1 on the remote... this should get you into the menu so you can align the dish.

I still get the same message with the card upside down. Thanks for the reply though!

Not sure, but receiver may be looking for an N2 card. Might try writing one of the 102 to rom10 bins to the card, then it would show up as a 102. Just a guess.

The 301.13 would be looking for a yellow card. I would suggest getting a rom102to10 image and use GenDT08_SK_V3_3 or similar program to edit the ird# to match the reciever and zero out the boxkeys then write the image to rom10 as if you just take a rom102to10 image you will get the error message this reciever has not been authorized yet and not be able to get past that. Hope that helps. Don't use a rom102 as it will update to newest rev and you won't be able to unlock it.
