Starchoice question for Crow 492

Hi Crow 492
A friend of mine gave me an old Starchoice .I wanted to hook it up to my 10' dish to it because I know you can pick up some stuff on X4 but I don't get anything. Can you give me some tips to get things going . I know you are suppose to stay away from the Anik sats

what kind of lnb does it have as long as its linear should be fine.as for KU signals.here is a more curent list of what you could get on KU band

I parked my 10' on X4 and I got nothing I did a master reset with the Starchice.

ok dumb question what satellite is X4?

HI X4 is a KU satellite . People who have 4dtv motorola receiver would know what I mean Motorola makes Starchoice receivers. A guy I know took a Satrchoice receiver and hooked it up to his 10' and put it on X4 and he got a half doeszen channels. Starchoice uses the KU band

It is only good for linear sats and fta sats, i also have a * choice dish setup for 97 and 101 with good signal. Your settings should be:

For 60E and 75E
Sat A

LNB TYPE: Standard
LNB POWER: ON
LNB FREQ: 10.750
22khz: off
DiSEqC: Off
SW switch: off

Sat B

LNB TYPE: Standard
LNB POWER: ON
LNB FREQ: 10.750
22khz: ON
DiSEqC: Off
SW switch: off

And if just the single * choice lnb:

LNB TYPE: Standard
LNB POWER: ON
LNB FREQ: 10.750
22khz: off
DiSEqC: Off
SW switch: off
