Hello all
I have a Legacy quad lnb and i want to hook up a 5th receiver. What switch do i need to buy to split the single. I went and got a 3x4 switch and it did not work at all. It wouldn't send the odd single on one output to one receiver and on the other output it wouldn't send even from one sat and odd from the other sat to my other receiver. So I'm taking it back tomorrow.
So what switch will work for me?
Thanks

i too have been trying to find a switch that will split one cable pulling both 110 and 119 into multiple ird's. the site quoted above carries such switches for Direct tv, but nothing for dish net. one switch listed might do it, but it is 150 bucks, not really an option. anyone have any other ideas? thanks....

Don't believe you can feed more than 4 Receivers with a Legacy Quad LNB.
You should be able to do it with two Dual LNB's, two 3x4 Multiswitches and two SW44 or SW64 switches.
Would be cheaper to get another Dish500 with a Legay Twin/Quad.
Ignore the third satellite in the attached Diagram.
Smurftoon is right. You can only run four receivers off a legacy quad lnb. If you want to run more, you will have to change your lnb and add an external switch of some kind, and it ain't gonna be cheap. You can also hang a second dish, then you'd be able to inexpensively add two more IRD's using a simple dual lnb. I'd go with the second dish. You could do that for $50-75.

No I'm not a room house owner, I just have 3 bedrooms a living room and a rec room i want to have receivers in. I all ready have 2 dishes up on the house. One for bell and one for dish. I hate to have to put up a third one. I do have a few dual output single lnb's i could put up insteat of my quad lnb. I would have to get 2 3x4 switches to have the 5 recievers hooked up. I guess i might go that rought.
Thanks for the input guys. Oh and smurftoon thats a nice pic you put up.
