1. Does the cam need to show the same software version for the ird as the ird actually has?

2. In regards installing a blocker...what is a "cleaned bin"?

3. Using N2edit beta9 ..how do I lock my card?

Hey Soldermonkey.

You should probaby use N2Edit 2.58 for reading and writing or nagramaster.

N2edit 2.58 has a clean rom funtion that works great, removes tiers etc.

cam info and cam are not related , ird firmware is just that. example is that I can take the same cam and us it in a variety of irds, as long as the ird number and box keys match whats on the cam. ie 501 301 2700 all use diffferent firmware/software but I use the same cam.
Blocker is just that a blocker from keeping the cam going to another rev, keeps dish from writing to it and locking you out.
I use winexplorer to unlock with a nexus blue/white .

I am sure others have there own preference.
