Dish Pre-paid

I got my hands on one of the Dish Now prepaid systems.

Has there been any progress on teh prepaid systems as far as opening the cards?

It;s my understanding that the cards are limited in there capacity, but I haven't looked into any of this in a while.

Any info as to the possibilites witht he prepaid systems would be appreciated.

Yes, been wondering about this myself. Can you please post the info returned when you do a reset in N2edit? We'd appreciate it. What does the card look like? Is it all white?

I've got a few all white cards, but I'll bet mine aren't quite the same!

I had a couple all white cards given to me last weekend. They turned out to be rom3's though.

I just woke up guys. I have to head in to work now.

I'll grab my ISO later and report back.

The cards are not white, they are Yellow and look similar to the other Yellows, but not exactly.

I went to radio Shack, posing as an interested buyer today.

A comment the guy made was .."Have you heard about the new "bigger" cards coming out. You can put the 120 channel package on it"?

Now, without letting him know too much bout me, I told him I hadn't, but that these Yellow cards had ben out for a while, do you mean D-net is doing a card swap, again?

He said something, totally irrelavent and I realized the guy has no idea of the Hacking world and I left it at that and went on my way.

So, one thing that seems confirmed, the pre-paid cards tos eem to have limited memory for various package uses.

Still not confirmed, or even sure, but his comments lead to that belief.

Gotta run, i'll let ya know what the ISO reads later.

Bought one of these off the worlds largest garage sale - ( ebay ) ..

What I got was :

A re-manufactured dp-301 - has a jtag port on bottom and a yellow DN CAS

This identified as SO1 - dsh02 and after was subscribed moved / updated to SO1 - dsh06.

You can but a " pin " code for these units and subscribe to AT60 / AT120 / Latino / Premiums / ... and yes even " adult " programing.

You activate as via phone , and all they ask for is zip code, and the R and S #'s

I'm interested in the ability to write to the cards ourselves.

My IRd is the 311, but I don;t have a jtag port opening on the bottom.

I'm gonna have to open her up to get to it, not a big deal though, actually looking forward to it.

I've been out of the scene for a bit now, but I'm looking to start up again.

I have to dig out my ISO and hope like hell it stillworks.

Which reminds me, I need to find some modding info for my old Dominator Elite HU Unlooper.

I'm sure it can be modded to be used as an unlocker/unlooper for the DN cards, whicher it is I need.

I know you can;t do one or the other, just can;t remember which.

What version of Nagraedit are you guys using now, and is stable?

Or is there some other app you guys are using.

Sorry to sound like a noob all over again, it;s been awhile and If you remember me from back in the day, I like to be thorough in my research and applications.

I'm gonna have to start garage saling again, to find me a couple Roms.

dig out your iso and pop the card in. do a reset and let us know what rev is it. i have a feeling you are going to find it is a so series card which cannot be unlocked at this time. 2nd you said you have a 311. currently there is no way to program the tsop on a 311. there is some info around on hooking up wires to jtag and read, but not write. i say hit some garage sales and find a 301.10 that has a yellow card in it, hopefully you will get one that is unlockable and an xsub.

better yet putt the 102 chip off that 311 puppy and adapt it to an old card , burned atmega, magic etc
unlock it and put it into a cheap reciever like a .10 or 13.
Sorry I have not even seen one of those pay as you go systems, but anything you see would be great info

Well I got my hands on one of these pre paid cards too. Didn't mean to or want to but did lol
came with 301.10
before I send it back to the character who sold it me I put it in ISO and did reset, it says Rom SO2, (rev) 802....so I believe it's sw04
it's yellow and blue but has Dish 500 written on it instead of all the little logos

Sounds like these cards will be hackable at some point. Better save them for that rainy day.
