Take some time and READ around. The update is for 4.1.H ... this is the only version that will update.

This version works for ISO too... no false rumors being spread here. Just lazy readers... LOL

If program is crashing maybe the file is corrupt because it's crashing before you get to the update. I bet romcode guys will fix the corrupt file.

I have 4.1.h here since maybe a week ago, and it updated code. PM me and I'll send u my working installer when I get home after work.

i download the 4.1h version first and unzippes fine and opens up fine, then when i click on live update it says found update and attempts to download, looks as if it downloaded and then says it needs to restart program and when restarts crashes and i get the windows error, maybe new support files are needed?

tried on two computers already, that never have any problems, 4.06 worked fine.

any ideas?

btw, on a pc that has never seen romcode, it does not crash. problem is this pc does not have a serial port.

I know the difference, but sometimes both things get you the same result don't you think?

There seems to be a problem with the new version romcode posted on their site with the update. My version which I downloaded one week ago works fine, but I don't know about yours. I'm no romcoder, I'm just trying to help here. But I'm not obliged to that either.

If you can't live without your TV RIGHT NOW ... read around, you'll find there's another temporary fix for your romcode in which you can input new keys manually....

that's until romcode posts a working application and get into the problem. As for me, that's as far as I can do for you. pitboy.

updated my rom code to new version 4.1h then updated to 10-05-06 and is working great once again thanks for such a fast come back if anyone was in the dtv days they will remember how long it used to take to get a fix rom code is very fast

Guys,
I have an ISO Programmer and used to program my ROM102 with 4.06f.
But I just downloaded 4.1h and then did live update (And it did update from 10/05). It restarts its own and I did following.
1) Clean my ROM102 with 4.06f first
2) Program with 4.1h using private bin
3) Programmed Successfully
4) Watching TV now with no problem.

With this version you must use .NET 2.0 . I am not sure why 4.06 has not updated but after asking around I am still not sure why it did not update. I am sure it is a technical thing and will get updated. If you were using 4.06f before then clean your card in that version first before using 4.21.Once programmed wait approx 5 minutes for the 005 nag to disappear. Put on channel 200 to speed things up and ofcouse make sure that the new RC is in its own folder. Later guys...

in regards to romcode crashing, the 2.0 net makes sense. i have not downloaded an update on my old computer in a long time. my laptop is kept up to date nightligy since it came with winxp

Safe or not, I'm running romcode 4.1h. I'm putting my trust in the guru's at romcode to have set an appropriate filter for the new EMM in thier software. These guys are pretty good, so if you have the romcode option, I say go for it. Got to use the 4.1h version though.

i got an email form omar of the original non corrupted file and updated to 4.21 and works great!

Install net frame 2.0. You will not be able to install ne7 2.0 if your xp/200 does not have windows installer 3.1 installed. If that is the case install that first, then net frame 2.0 and then run then RC 4.21.
Its that simple, if everyone read the page on MS website where you download net frame 2, it tells you so.
Also, not Rc 4.0f is no longer.

Yes it is now defunct, download and use 4.21 which does need .NET 2.0 installed.

I cleaned the card in 4.06f. Then I wnet to cam setup and that worked fine. I programmed and now I get on the programming screen Rev10A, and only get the preview channel after thirty minutes. NOTE: I did not flash with "NewdRS"...(As the romcode page says) what is this where is it, and how do I implement this?

Get XPAtmel.zip from the romcode site. It has the NewdRS flash in the zip.

NOw....

I get an "arithmetic overflow" error while running the 4.1 code and after modifying the ini file as per romcodes instructions. I get this error right after the card has been read.
Anyone know what cause this?

If version 4.21 does not require net 2.0 then why won't 4.06f live update by itself??? Does everone have to go the romcode site to download version 4.21? Once again why woh't live update work?
