Changing zip codes

I currently have a DISH 500 satellite and DISH322 receiver. I have a current DISH account, but I really want to receive the local stations from a different area. I've heard that all you need to do is change the zip code in the programming of the receiver, but I have no clue how that is done. Can anyone tell me how that is done and what equipment I may need to do it?

Since you have a subscription, call D!sh and ask them if you are in the
spotbeam of the locals you want..
