China called Bush and told him that the test was going to take place during the 20 minute time frame. Japan and other countries were also notified by China before the test was conducted.

Japan feels threatend by all this and may consider a nuclear program. It seems Japan has 10 tons of plutonium stored in case they need it. Washington Has a Problem. If North Korea gets away with this Iran will continue their nuclear program.

South Korea calls the test a "Provocative Act" and they will not "Tolerate a Nuclear North Korea". Does this mean that our 28 thousand troops must stay or leave the region? This sounds like a big problem to me.

I think twostep has got the right perspective here. Little Kim, as I like to call him, has a history of doing something like this at least twice in the past. He won't sit down at the table with western nations unless he thinks he has somethig to bargain with. He sees being able to refer to his nation as a nuclear power as a leverage point. Plus, not all the details of what was 'tested' and how it went for certain are in yet. Sounds to me like everyone is basically going off what North Korea is saying happened. 1. We notified them days in advance as to where and when we would drop the bomb. Flyers dropped from planes and broadcast on the radio.

2. It is extimated that over one million American troops would have died invading Japan. All POWs would have been killed immediatly and the invaders. Also about one million + Japaneese would have been killed.

Believe it....I guarantee you thats why religious people in Iraq and Afghanistan are so against foreign presence and have no problems strapping a bomb to themselves.
