4.22 Update

Just downloaded 4.22.. anyone know what the difference is between this and 4.21?

This is great news. I just downloaded and it gets the new keys from the server. I am up and running. GOOD JOB ROMCODE..........

I *think* the difference is that 4.22 grabs the latest keys when you
open RomCode. It is NOT a fix for the auto-roll issue, however.
We still will have to re-program cards after every key change.

The black screen problem appeared on 10-10-06 about the time they changed the keys. Did not go 005. Also before reprogramming with 4.21.

Just ran 4.22 no change. starts up 1-5 and progam guide ok. get title bar at top
then black screen. favorites no red channels. info channels ok.

A couple of tips:
First....remember do NOT select the 'private bin' in RomCode settings
before programming card.

Second....Aftter programming with new keys, it is *sometimes* necessary
to turn off the IRD for a couple of minutes before audio/video will appear.

Sofar no joy. Note the screen initially went black before it was removed from ird.
So I don't think it is a programming issue. then again maybe it is.

The problem you're having is that you have no Key 1. If you will clean your card with romcode and then open it with Nagramaster, you will see there is no Key 1. To solve this problem, follow the directions in the Sticky in Romcode section about how to update keys manually. If you will follow that Sticky, you will be able to write the Key 1 and watch TV. I had the same problem and tried just about everything I could think of to get Key 1 to write in Romcode. Always black screen and always No Key 1. Try the sticky. It will work. Good luck.

also if you are getting red channels you might have to reapply the private bin . i had same problem i reapplied bin then programmed again it worked
