Any of the founding members still around? :D
If you have no idea what I'm talking about, then you missed a great group of guys. ;)

Those were the days, weren't they?
There are a couple of us still around....

Maybe Mili will open a nostalgia forum for the old timers among us...:)

If you're gonna bring this up, Budreaux - you might as well get your facts straight. It was Puky 2. ;) Ahh, I love it.

LOL.. yeah.. you're right, but I couldn;t remember for sure....
Puky2 was a breathe of fresh air....
Those days were exciting....
Dealer Bins...... those were the best....
00 teaching me how to glicth into a locked card with Mili's private 3m because my 3b card would always loop when I did it with Winx..so I was able to save a good bin with Mili's 3m on it and apply it in EHU.
I could go on for hours.

Private 3m, eh?
MdEven wrote half of 'em, and I stole the other half from little two-bit sites that nobody ever paid any attention to - including Dave - and emailed 'em to Nassau. They stayed up as well as all them fancy high-priced ones over at HackP4:D

Dammit, Budreaux, why'd you have to bring all this up?:p

Puky 2 was from somewhere south of the border - at the time, Mili sold 'private' 3M service, 6 months at a time....and one night Puky joined the forum and posted a question regarding this service. His English was better than my Spanish, but not a great deal better.

I'd give a month's pay if Mili had saved all them old posts. The broken-English that ol' Puky put up had the entire site on the floor.....he was the literal epitome of ROTFLMAO....:p:D and he referred to the 3m package as "group of the 6 months". We flamed him slap to death for a few days; Puky was undeterred, however, and kept right on posting away.

Since we couldn't run him off we just decided to form a club in his honor. The Group Of The Six Months was a formidable gang of bullshitters for quite some time....but as always, all good things come to an end - he dropped out of sight and the club eventually disbanded, about the time the HU died. If I remember correctly, Puky did post again a few months later and got quite a few of us excited, but we never heard from him again.

I miss those times. We had FUN, man....when DTV died off, it was like a death in the family - not so much over the loss of DTV itself as most of us picked up on DN pretty quickly - it was the loss of an era, of good times and good friends that we knew would most likely be gone forever.

To quote Archie Bunker - "Those Were The Days".......

Man, I just reread that thread again.. those days were great...
puky2 did actually have someone come in and physically type her questions for her at one time.
I say her.. we never got a straight answer on that, but...
I took the script we used to write the Private 3m's to the cards, and the unlooper program too, and I editted it so that all the buttons and comments were in Spanish...
her own personal version...
She was very greatful and I felt great for having helped her/him out like that.... it;s the only time my wife actually got involved in this sight with me... she helped me with the translations, so i wouldn;t confuse the poor sole any further.
That reminds me of oldphart too... he was a war vet and had lost an arm in the war.
He expressed concern about having to put down his beer to use his one arm to change the default settings each time. So I took the scripts he used and editted those settings and personalized a few comments :D .... lol, he loved the comments too.....
It was the least I could do for a member that served in the military and made such a sacrifice for his country.
I wonder where oldphart is now?
Man, more memories are coming back to me now.. I better stop while they are all good...lol.

That's absolutely unreal ! I thought Mili dumped those old threads years ago. Bud, you are the shit, my friend.

I reread that whole thread twice - it's like a time warp - now, if we can just locate the man himself....somebody make a sticky out of that link:D

OldPhart and one of the old DTV mods got sideways with each other and eventually moved on to other things, sad to say. One of the old gang, can't remember who - had 'Save Oldphart' in his signature line. It was widely rumored that OP was banned, but in reality, he just snapped, then disappeared. It was sad; I really enjoyed the old boy.

This was a fun post.....
ashame that the original poster's question is missing, but to fill you in..
he said he had gotten the Japanese channels on h is DTV receiver and lost them shortly after and was wondering how that was possible. You can fill in the rest, but remember, I was playing off the other members comments the whole time...
we really had fun back then...

That would have been Big Bob who started the thread. Ah, he and I go back a ways as well....:p

He was a self-appointed stud at HackP4; actually, he couldn't hit his ass with both hands but to hear him talk, No1B4Me had nothing on him. I got tired of him and Hack's mods slobbering all over their admin day after day, and one evening I just teed off on the whole fucking bunch of 'em.

Now, you would have thought I'd been banned for this...BB was on me like a tornado - but that wasn't the case. I got flame-broiled by some members and a couple of mods, but soon half the site ended up over here. HP4 went tits up not too long afterward, as a result of their all-knowing administrator not knowing as much as he thought he did.

In the end BigBob joined DSSFTP and dropped his know-it-all routine, and we actually became pals. I guess he died along with the HU, like so many others. I sure miss 'em....

Everybody thought I banned him, but I didn't.... He really pissed me off though.... He kept logging on with different names and starting crap....
Ole D could (prollably still can) sure stir shit up when he wanted to too....
And like I was telling two-step... I sure miss 4x4.... He was a good guy.... Just don't talk politics with him :D
