Lite Platinum: Clone or Genuine

Is the ViewSat Lite Platinum legit, or a knockoff. They say it's just has a few less features, which is fine, as long as it's genuine. I don't want to purchase a clone.

Viewsat made it But its like Pansat making the 3000 and it uses the Pansat 2500 Bin's. The Viewsat light uses the Platinum Bin's.

It is most def not a clone. It's made by Viewsat. It's prefectly fine to get. But it's really only about $20-$30 bucks more for the xtreme.

VS Lite

I guess the reason you don't see many post about them, is because they use the same files as the VS Platinum. There have been clones of, I believe the Platinums, it's easy to tell the clone if you can find a picture of each from the back.It's mainly the print on the right side of the back of receiver.There just isn't much of a price difference between the Lite and the Platinum, so I'd go with the Platinum if they are available.

If a receiver use a bin from a other model then its clasified as a clone. Remember Pansat made the 3000 And it took the 2500 bin. Just because Pansat made it dosnt mean its not a cloon. Back in Nagra one whene BL intruduced cloon kill all the 3000 died and hade to be J tag.

Viewsat can intruduce the same prosess whene and if they whant.

I have Pansat 3000 here and use the cloon safe in them. Bin's with the T from chancy.

For 30 or 20$ more I would be safe and get a platinim.

I re look at what you said and the only thing is you could take it 2 way's its not a clone for real free to air. But if I uplaod a file from a diferent model then I would say yes.

I do see what you saying, not that your def is wrong, just differnt than what I think. All depends on how you look at it.
But my main point is you don't have to worry about clone kills with the VS lite as it is really made by VS and not some 3rd party company. So it is perfectly safe to buy.

But I would say get the vs extreme for the extra money over the vs platinim or the vs lite.
