I normally program with my laptop. But I also use it for work and sometimes it is at the office. This is a pain when the keys are changing almost every day. I bought a PCI serial card for my home PC because it had no serial port. When I use this port I get Dealer or streamlocked message. Now the first time I tried it, it got all the way through unlocking - reading - and almost through writing before this message came up. Now it comes up right away. I can put the iso prog back on my laptop and it progs fine. Please Help. I also tried a USB to serial converter but it gets unknown provider with that.

I' not using that anymore. I'm using a PCI serial card.
Sounds like a com port timing issue. Right click on my computer and pick "manage". Then click on "device manager". Scroll down and look for your com port under "ports".
On the "port settings" tap, set to the following:
115200
8
None
1
None
If that does not fix your problem, the try this:
In romcode, click the "settings" button. Set your "Read Byte Delay" to 100 and try it.
If that dosen't work, reset it to 0 and set "command delay" to 100.
If that dosen't work, try them both at 100. Play around with these two settings and try to find some combo that works for you. Maybe "read byte delay" 150.
If you find a setting that works for you, please report back as to what that was.
Hope this helps.
