Public Downloads Section

I have tried to download from the public download section while there is enough downloads available and I am told that I have to be a VIP member. Not that I do not want to support the site, but being financially burdened this is a problem to help. Is the public area not so public?

1000 download limit and 115 currently being used.

I only wanted a 508 TSOP DCSD, unmodded.

We'll have Mili look into it. Might be a setting needs to be changed. You should be able to get in no sweat and get that tsop image.

it's public on off hours, like say 2:00 a.m. eastern till 8:00 am eastern for instance

I have been trying to download just a couple of files with no success :(

Could someone let us know exactly when the public can download? The times listed for the public do not specify a time zone. Is it GMT or EST or MST or what?

I have tried at various off hours and cannot seem to find a time that the public download is working anymore. It used to work in the past, but I don't remember what time.

Today I tried again between 2:00 PM and 3:00 Eastern and no luck.

There were only about 100 people downloading out of 1000 and it bounced me.

Any help would be appreciated.

Before one could download w/ease now it's a pain in the a**, anyway any file I want I can get it somewhere else, you just have to know where to find it. With all these restrictions of time and limit makes one think that Millie wants you to become a VIP to download otherwise they would be available for the public w/no restrictions. Hey I am not going to tell the man how to run his place so I just come by once in awhile take a look and move on but it used to be easy to get those files still is if you know where to look.

While we're on this subject, I am a past VIP member. (membership expired last month) Three days ago I tried to pay for another year's dues, (which I recommend to all of you out there) and I see a new way to pay called E-GOLD.

O.K., so I signed up for that account, to avoid having to go buy special money orders. The E-GOLD website said that it would be sending me an account number by email. No such luck, didn't arrive. Yesterday, I contacted E-GOLD by email, complaining about the problem, still waiting!

Meanwhile, yesterday, I decided to download from the Public Files Section(3:00 P.M. PST) and it worked fine, without logging in. It wouldn't let me log in anyway. Got the files I needed wihtout any problems.

My wish to Mili, is that he gets a payment method that has a lot less GLITCHES for us users and less of a chance of losing paying members, which might happen with me!
